Please let this be a warning out there to parents that are currently evaluating daycares. Children of America Flossmoor is not the location for you if you are interested in your hard-earned money funding more than babysitting services. We enrolled our daughter in September of this year because of the program they boast which placed an emphasis on early childhood development. Our number one focus was to ensure that our child was properly engaged and stimulated to optimize the most critical years of her development. Well, COA failed miserably. On day 1 we witnessed (via live video feed) the babies wondering around with little to no adult interaction all afternoon -4 plus hours!! The teachers were mostly chatting with each other. On day 2, after my husband gave them feedback, they interacted with the children in the morning but then I watched them strap my daughter in a seat and leave her immobile for almost 4 hours. I had to call the director and ask that she be allowed to move around. Also, she came home that day with a scratch on her face!!! We promptly removed her from that facility and here we are more than 2 months later in receipt of a letter threatening to send our account to collections. We more than paid for the time she spent there, but apparently they charge a 2 week notice fee of more than $500!!! There are better options out there. Save your money and your sanity.
