Review content:
Had this company come out for annual maintenance, inspection, cleaning of heat pump system. Huge mistake. Tech spent most of his time trying to up sell us to a new system, when most of it was only 4 years old.
Never had a problem with our system until about 2 weeks after Black Hills tech was here.
Our system burnt up while we were sleeping. Woke up to a house full of smoke. We could have died.
Upon inspection by emergency crew that came out (not Black Hills), coil was never cleaned. System was severely low on refrigerant with no obvious leak in the system. ?? It only leaves the system in two ways... a leak, or it is removed. Refrigerant does not evaporate and system does not burn it like a car does oil.
Our system components are completely ruined and must be entirely replaced. Black Hills will not benefit in any way from this.
