My neighbor was having his furnace checked by Kevin P. from Illiana so I called Kylie to see if he could check my furnace while he was in the area. She was able to have him come to my house when he was finished with my neighbor. A crack was found on my heat exchanger. My option was to replace the 12 year heat exchanger or get a new furnace. I decided to upgrade from what was put in by the builder and go with a new high efficent furnace and a higher SEER AC unit. After Kylie was contacted after Kevin P. left, Aaron arrived an hour later. He asked if I had a problem with any room(s) that were warmer or cooler than the rest of the house, duct work locations, and if the AC unit was cooling enough for my liking. We discussed 2 stage burners which would extend the life of the heat exchanger and lower gas usage. A variable speed furnace fan could be set to run at very low speed when the furnace or AC wasn't running. This would keep the temperature more even thourghout the house. I also wanted the humidifer replaced. Aaron came up with a system that met my needs and also filed paperwork with NIPSCO for me to get a rebate on the my new high efficency system. The furnace and AC unit also qualify for an IRS Residential Energy Credit. All the folks at Illiana were very kind, courterous, highly knowledgeable and genuinely happy at their jobs. It's a real pleasure to deal with the folks at Illiana Heating & Air Conditioning.
