Review content:
This was one of the worse moving experience of my life. I relocated from DC to Nashville and was excited to relocate with Suburban Relocation because of the reviews. Over the phone everyone seemed very friendly and accommodating. I was told about the binding estimate which was different from other companies I was receiving estimates from.
However, when the men arrived at my home they looked around my apartment and charged me an additional $300. I was confused and inquired about the binding estimate and asked how he was able to know the space and additional charge without packing items on the truck, measuring, or weighing items. When I asked questions the mover said that he no longer wanted to move my belongings and that I could find another moving company. This was on the day of my move and I had no other options.
When the movers arrived to my location in Nashville I waited for the mover to arrive at the time he said he would arrive. He did not come until the morning of the next day. The mover was extremely rude and I was charged an additional $200 when they arrived because of my stairs which I informed the central office of prior to the arrival of the movers. They lost one of my dining room chairs, they broke my lamps, and one of my pots. I left several messages about reimbursement and never received a call back.
I definitely believe this company took advantage of my situation and the fact I was ignorant to the moving process.
