I was subbed by this man to replace a vent on a roof after an install of an over , the vent was a rare 10 inch exhaust vent , after looking at the job I told him give me awhile let me locate one because it's just not the kind you can by at Home Depot and I knew that because of its diameter, he was bet adamant about getting it replaced quickly because the owners could not cook anything on the new oven so when I did eventually find one on the Internet that had to be ordered I told him it would cost about $1000 he also had a downspout that he wanted me to relocate a few feet over which is a very simple job and I had no plan on charging him for it I told him by the time I ordered event and got it there as quick as possible with labor and material he was looking at about $1000 he said go for it buddy is no object at this property these people are very good clients of mine so I ordered it paying for it out of my pocket , it came in a few days later he said he would meet me at the job and pay me cash when I was done I replace the vent upon trying to relocate the downspout as they were made of rusted tin I could not cut on them without the risk of damaging them so I called Arlis and told him I could not relocate The downspout without damaging it but I'm done with the vent I text him pictures of the finished job he told me he could not meet me he has to go to Austin and he was on his way then the day he came back from Austin or was supposed to come back from Austin he said his mother fell at church and couldn't come back and pay me then he realized after speaking to the owner that the vent with silver and he was mad because I did not paint it which he never told me to then he was mad after knowing the price and sending him an invoice that I charge him $1000 for a big silver event that I did not paint and because I did not relocate the gutter which all this was explained to him and text pictures to him way before he said anything like this the problem was he wasn't on the same page with the owner and I did everything he told me to do and I'm suffering the consequences I'm just a small contractor who's out $700 by this man who does hundreds of thousand dollars worth of work on one property don't trust him he is a liar
