We were definitely not prepared when our baby died the day after he was born. A very dear friend from our church recommended Winkenhofer to us. The staff there went above and beyond their duties to make things as easy as possible for our family. Chuck Peavy actually took time to come to our home on a Sunday night because I had just been released from the hospital, and after having an emergency C-Section just two days before, I was not in any physical shape to go anywhere. He sat down with us, explained everything, and was very patient. We were still in emotional shock, and he let us cry, let us talk, whatever we needed to do. The next day we went and picked out a lot at their cemetery which is conveniently located next door. We received the same hospitality from Lauren that we did from Chuck as far as being supportive and just taking time with us. We were not rushed in any way.
