Review content:
Hired Tim, owner of TLEEF, to install chandelier and outdoor lights as well as recessed lights in kitchen after seeing two positive recommendations on a neighborhood list serve. The quality of his work may be good, but I cannot recommend him because of his unprofessional and frankly scary behavior. He installed a chandelier and outside lights on a Friday, which went OK, though I did feel rushed in having to quickly decide the right chandelier length, though I get that his time is money. I expressed my appreciation and paid him for the work done and then we discussed the recessed lights, which he was to install the following Monday. He complained that the bathrooms overhead would make it hard to place the recessed lights in the ideal positions, and the ceiling would probably need a lot of patching; I said I understood this as he had said this repeatedly at the time of the estimate. I asked a couple questions, e.g., what would he suggest if a recessed light wouldn't fit over the sink? Rather than continue the discussion, he became abusive, making insulting comments about my kitchen decor, which I tried to ignore, and eventually said he didn't want to work for a person like me, and stormed out, yelling that he didn't want the job. I was completely shocked. I've hired many contractors for work inside and outside my home over 20 years, and have never experienced anything remotely resembling this. Be forewarned.
