Review content:
We have been in an expensive nightmare with ACR Concrete. We are now in the process of having our ACR Concrete patio totally torn out and replaced by another decorative concrete company. It is costing us $9,000 to fix their mess that we already paid ACR Concrete originally to do. They placed a stamped concrete overlay on our existing patio as well as new decorative concrete around our newly installed composite pool a few years ago. In very short time, pieces of the concrete overlay began to break off the patio. I was told by the owner, that concrete products are going to break apart and to expect it. Over and over again I paid to have his workers make unsightly repairs on the patio. Finally larger sheets of overlay began breaking off. Frank refused to come look at it. He was extremely inpatient and rude about my problem. His employees were constant no-shows on appointments. Multiple concrete contractors that looked at the patio this summer stated the same thing--that is, that the concrete was not prepped properly and it was poor workmanship of the concrete that caused these problems. In addition, proper drainage was not put in place and the stamped concrete around the pool was beginning to be damaged. When the new concrete contractor pulled up the drains ACR Concrete put in, there was NO drainage pipe. They only put in a drainage grill to look like there was drainage but nothing underneath the grill to lead the water out. (All smoke and mirrors). This is why there was always water 2 inches thick standing on our patio when there was rain or snow which caused the other concrete problems. I have found out that short cuts from quality work will cause problems down the road even when the job originally looks good right after completion. Beware of ACR Concrete. I normally do not write reviews of companies, but I want to spare others the headache and money I have encountered with ACR Concrete.
