Review content:
We are wild bird enthusiasts and recently stopped in this store. We had with us our three young children, ages 2, 4, and 6, in whom we are trying to inculcate a love of birds. We were planning to buy a bird bath, finch feeder, bird guide, and wind chimes for our new yard, so we went in. Big mistake! A middle-aged lady employee stalked my children from the moment we walked in the store. The children were not the least bit rowdy or unruly, but they WERE interested in learning about wild birds. My four-year-old son touched several different wind chimes - not roughly, careful not to tangle strings or knock the chimes from their hangers - and not surprisingly, they chimed. The middle-aged lady glared at him for a minute, then raced over, rudely admonishing him, ""BE CAREFUL WITH THOSE!"" We promptly left, and we won't return. This is a store which espouses the peculiar philosophy that wild bird watching is the domain of adults only. Children, even well-behaved bird watchers, are NOT welcome.
