I needed to replace the Cad Cell Eye on my oil furnace (a $15.00 part). The trip fee was $79.00 and change, which I knew up front and accepted. When the technician arrived, he reminded me of the trip charge, then said it would cost an additional $344.00 to replace the part. I had already disconnected the defective part, so all he had to do was insert it into the slot and connect two wires. When I questioned him about the cost, he stated, "The company is entitled to a profit." A $413.00 profit? I don't think so! I paid the trip charge and asked him to leave.
