Review content:
I've never really thought too much about rehab programs but attending this program has changed my perspective. I began attending the pulmonary rehab program at Kindred Southwest and I am now able to do many more things both at home and during my rehab sessions. I am now able to go for long walks at home when the weather permits. I gradually began to notice improvements such as increasing my duration on a treadmill from four minutes to 30 minutes. Before when I used to be off of my oxygen, I would get very short of breath but I can now come off of my oxygen and I don't really notice it. On Friday, I joined my wife to pick up my granddaughter and to go check on our taxes. I was off of oxygen the entire time and I felt good. Instructors Ken, Tanya, Ron and Marty are all very good and the lung exerciser that they gave me to use at home is something that I use every day twice a day. Those exercises have really helped me. I now have a much easier time reaching my goals on this equipment. They also gave me an exercise band that I have taken home and along with that I'm using 2 and 3 pound weights for my resistance exercises. I am very grateful for my pulmonary doctor who recommended me to this program and I wish I could keep going but my insurance only pays for so much. Thank you Kindred!
