I'm a longtime business owner that has used race Brothers over the past 15 years, i have spent over $10,000 in kennel and farm supplies from them and have recommended them to several people over the years but my last experience with Mike the store manager in Springfield was horrible!! I had contacted the store on Monday and ordered dog kennels and was priced $699 for each 10 x 10 priefert dog kennel (normal price) and was told since I was buying multiple kennels that I could get a discount. When I went to pick up the kennels instead of giving me the whole pen price Mike charged me for individual panels claiming he was giving me a discount but in fact I ended up paying more for each panel then if he would have given me the whole pen price. I called him the next day and was going back to pick up more Kennels that we're supposed to be there the original day and ask him about the price difference, which he ended up giving me a $6 refund for the price difference!! I ended up spending $3,000 on kennels through race Brothers with absolutely no discount and I had to go back twice because they did not follow through on getting their order at the store on time! I was promised a discount when I called on Monday for getting three kennels but was actually charged more upon arrival and after discussing this with Mike he still was not willing to give any type of discount for me having to come back or for the multiple kennel purchases. This is very disappointing, Mike was dishonest in trying to charge me more and then would not even consider a discount with everything I had to go through. I thought race Brothers was there to support local farms and businesses we will definitely be taking our business somewhere else next time and as far as our referrals you can bet they will not be going towards race Brothers in the future.
