They distribute flyers on doors in suburbs with the text "FAMILY CHARITIES" "Helping the poor for 25 years" "Clothing Drive".\r
The only reason I know this ("family charities" is misleading at best and comes up with no results in any type of search) is because I looked up and matched the phone number on the flyer. I see nothing on their site about donating to charity and am highly skeptical that they donate anything at all. Even if so, I would expect it's a very low percentage, perhaps just enough to avoid being prosecuted.\r
When asked via email, they offered no response to the question of their charitable donations.\r
Their practices are extremely suspect in this regard and I advise you to use caution in dealing with them. Should you wish to donate to ACTUAL charity, look elsewhere.
