Review content:
Okay, let me break it down. The Tavern, aka The Tavvy to those who frequent it often, is one of the few remaining true local bars in Los Angeles. If you are hoping to see Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie (with or without dinner plate sunglasses), Lindsey Lohan or any other member of young Hollywood and their respective rodent-esque dogs, this isnt the place for you.
If you are looking for a fun bar where you can be served by a friendly staff (where saying B- equates to your entire group having 16oz Bud Lights in front of them in two minutes), have multiple drinks without having to take on a second mortgage, a place where you can get fat kid food for cheap, and park easily for free, the Tavern is your spot. Also, the Tavern has an eclectic mix of old and young. Depending on when you go, if you go at the heart of happy hour, you could be sharing the bar with overweight, middle aged, white men, but thats the cost of doing business since you are in heart of Aerospace/Chevron country.
I would highly recommend The Tavern on Main. You cant go wrong.
