Review content:
I've taken my stray dog TJ to Dr. Mayo (nee Wright) for over 10 years. She really has a wonderful manner and the Vet Techs there do as well. TJ is usually nervous when we get there - he's a Jack Russell Terrier. He's almost always at ease when the techs and Dr. Mayo handle him for weighing, tests, shots, nose drops, etc. \r

TJ had a reaction to the rabies shot a few years ago. He started losing hair in the area where the shot was given. I took him back to Dr. Mayo. She checked him over and noted that he should get a different vaccine (noted it in his chart). She gave him a steroid injection to help with the inflamation. \r

It's not the cheapest place to get meds. Having a caring vet to take my dog has been helpful. Most vets aren't cost effective for meds. I've never asked for the Rx to fill elsewhere as I've not had pets with long term needs like that, except for flea and tick meds and now I get Frontline elsewhere.\r
\r
Even though I've moved out of Bartlett to Midtown, I still take TJ there. I trust Dr. Mayo. When TJ's blood work comes back from his annual visit a few weeks ago, Dr. Mayo called with the results herself and shared concerns and a follow up request. Since he had bloodwork the last 3-4 years (he's ~13 years old), she was able to see if there were any recurring issues.\r
\r
The exam rooms have been clean during visits. The waiting room is kept clean, too. \r

I grew up on a dairy farm so I've met a lot of vets. Dr. Mayo is wonderful.
