I took my shih-tzu to VCA Woodland for the second time since I moved to AA and it will be the last!! I visited them for a regular check up and vaccination update. I happened to mentioned she had wax in her ear for > 1 yr and previous diagnosis of ear yeast infection and that was it....They swabbed her ears and did a cytology: $46 that showed bacteria? and yeast? They swabbed her ears with a cotton swab and a solution: $25 and then recommended treatment with antibiotics $36 and a wax remover $12. Grand total: $286. I'm clearly not a veterinarian, but as a Pediatrician, this diagnoses made NO sense at all. The only pro is that the staff is very friendly, but they have to, so when you get a bill like this you don't storm out of their office. \r
I would not recommend them at all.
