Review content:
On 7/25/16 I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Already on the brink of insolvency due to high health insurance premiums at a cost of over $10,000 year coupled with an $80,000 cloud of unsecured credit card debt over my head, I had nowhere to turn. Knowing I had to come up with a plan should.my health take a turn for the worse and restrict my ability to continue to provide for my family, I thought about bankruptcy. Already living pay check to paycheck, in the event of a negative outcome regarding my health I had no where to turn. I read up on bankruptcy and realized that I would need the guidance of an attorney if I were to move forward. I found David Ast Law on Google. What motivated me to contact them among the many firms who were also listed on the Internet was that they specialize in bankruptcy cases only.
Hiring David Ast Law, now Ast and Schmidt PC was then best legal decision I made in my life.
My initial consultation was in mid-August. After meeting with David, I knew I had come to the right place.
I followed his instructions, submitted the required information and I decided to file Chapter 7 on August 31st. Based on the excellent counseling I received, I was prepared and knew what to expect every step of the way. I received a discharge and a new beginning in early December. I would describe this firm as being honest, fair, diligent, hard working and well organized. The attorneys coupled with their support staff are the best legal team in the business. Every phone call and email was promptly answered. I was treated with dignity and respect and counseled not to carry around the stigma of shame associated with bankruptcy and advised to just to start fresh. With a discharge behind me I am able to pay my health insurance premiums and medical bills. However, more important I am able to focus all my enery and strength to fight my disease with a great reduction in the stress associated with my former financial situation. I would recommend this firm to my closest family member or friend.
