Review content:
I bought a camera at Camera Outlet as a Christmas ('06) gift for my wife. 2 weeks after Christmas the camera stops working...hadn't even yet processed a roll of film! Returned the camera to the store for replacement/service. The owner of the store (a Greek man), now claiming to be "just an employee", took receipt of the camera. 2 weeks later I received a call saying my camera was ready. Picked up camera after having to pay $9.95 shipping/handeling cost. 3 weeks later, camera stops working again. I sent the camera (and all documentation) straight to the manufacturer myself to save on shipping/handeling costs. Shortly thereafter, I received a message from the manufacturer saying my camera was both discontinued AND refurbished. Further, no warranty would be honored AND no replacement parts available! I called the manufacturer back to submit a complaint. Manufacturer appologized and was aware of Camera Outlet's practices. Returned to Camera Outlet for refund on camera. "See the sign? No refunds...store credit only" said the owner. I now have over $300 of store credit at Camera Outlet. Oh yea, they sell "expired" film also! Go to Bill's Camera accross the street & ask for Todd...friendly and professional!
