Review content:
I am quite shocked by things some of the other reviewers have said. First, I'd like to address the claims that the office is dirty. Wow! It is very clean always, not even animal hair on the floors. The patient rooms are clean as well, and I have personally seen the back area and procedure room and paid attention to the cleanliness. After all, one of my little dogs was about to have surgery and I'm very careful about hygiene. The office is basic, but who cares? It's nice to walk in and not have clutter everywhere. Another person said the vet techs were rude and cold. I have personally dealt with all 3 of the techs and can only say that they have been nothing but nice and caring. They remember you by name, take the time to ask about your day and how your pets are doing, and they answer any questions you may have. That is not my definition of rude and cold.
As far as Dr. Kumar is concerned, I have nothing but praise for this doctor. He SAVED MY DOG'S LIFE! I have an 8 lb dog who was mauled by a Rottweiler and Dr. Kumar is the one who saved him. I had gone to one other vet before that who did nothing! She didn't care, she only cared that I had bought their in house insurance so she didn't want to do expensive surgery since as an insurance holder I would get 50% off the procedure (Center Sinai Animal Hospital- worst place ever). Dr. Kumar performed surgery on him and he has recovered. Additionally, he has helped me fix my dog's skin problems which have been a mystery to countless other vets I have seen before. This man knows what he is doing.
I will say that Dr. Kumar is VERY STRAIGHTFORWARD. His bedside manner is not the fuzziest, but he knows his stuff! He is blunt and tells you exactly what is happening and gives you very detailed instructions on how to take care of your pet. Now some people don't want to hear it because usually it entails taking the harder road and taking the time to care for your pet properly. He doesn't sugar coat things, but I would rather have a blunt doctor who knows what he's doing than a saccharine fool.
Pros: Great care, clean office, never crowded
Cons: Parking... sometimes
