This facility is leased by a private company called Bergen Regional while at the same time it is independently owned and operated by the county government. This institution provides the best quality-medical care to all its patients. Treatment is highly provided for those suffering from acute and chronic mental illnesses. This facility treats all adults, geriatrics and children and adolescents. Treatment also includes those suffering from alcoholism and drug abuse. The best part of this institution also includes the services in medications and healthcare provided for various ailments, injuries to all those who simply cannnot afford the services as a result of not having any healthcare coverage. This facility has had its doors opened to the public since 1916 and up to this day and date since it leased with the private company called Bergen Regional, it is moving along very strong in providing the best medical and psychiatric care to all county and local residents with highly professional
