I had a tooth with a crown that was infected and very painful!! Dr. Feltzer (my family dentist) referred me to an Endodontist. After drilling into my crown the tooth was unfortunately not able to be saved by the doctor. So I was referred back to Dr. Feltzer's office at MICHIANA DENTAL CARE.
I was having a lot of pain and was very uncomfortable. I contacted Dr. Feltzer's office who then took over a week to get me in to get my tooth pulled. On the morning of my appointment one of the staff members called me and stated my appointment would cost $29.00 (my insurance did not cover the whole charge). Unfortunately I explained to them that my husband was on his way to pick me up from work (I work night shift as a nurse) and I did not have my purse with me (I never bring my purse to work as we don't have lockers to store valuables). I was told I could not be seen that day without payment.
I was pretty surprised that I was just now getting a phone call about the payment and asked to speak with the doctor. I was refused though I was allowed to speak with the office Manager Stephanie. I proceeded to tell Stephanie of my predicament. She then reinforced that I would not be able to be seen and that staff had called me on the 20th of October telling me I would need to bring $29.00. This is not true! I never received a phone call and even was willing to show them my cell phone records as proof.
My God it was $29.00! I had no balance on my account. I am still having pain and discomfort but they would not see me! Dr. Feltzer evidentially does not care about his patients. He even dismissed me from their practice because I was complaining (I would not have gone back anyways).
I was lied to and treated like a second class citizen. I don't believe that Dr. Feltzer cares about his patients. It's all about the money. If you want care and compassion don't go to MICHIANA DENTAL CARE!!!
