This is a wonderful Hawaiian restuarant, with very authentic food. It's the only place my native Hawaiian friends will go. One of them is even a chef here in Portland, and he loves it! I've tried several different menu items and have loved them all and don't have a favorite. The servings are huge, but like the previous poster said, no need to take home a doggie bag, I always finish it all.\r

The only negative to this restaurant is the service. When I have been without my friends, the service has not been friendly, even when they weren't busy. They were generally brusque, e.g. didn't smile, didn't seem to want to answer any questions, and took a while to come to the table. That was embarrassing, because I bragged to my mother about how good it was before taking her there.\r

This place gets full very quickly, the best times to go are before and after peak meal times.\r

I would highly recommend this place to anyone I know.
