I would like to give my opinion of Pet Plex Animal Hospital and Dr. Doug Poorman and staff. I have been using Pet Plex for over 10 years. We have had two dogs, a beagle-mix (age 18) and a mini-dachshund (age 4). I have never had a bad experience with Pet Plex. On the contrary, Dr. Doug is the most caring vet I have ever encountered. On one occasion, I called on July 4th because my beagle had swallowed a chicken leg whole (inhaled it like a vacuum!). I was scared to death for her and when I called, Dr. Doug answered personally, talked me through it, and put my mind at ease. He has always given me honest answers when I ask questions about treatment options available and the associated costs, and I never feel like he is trying to "upsell" me. I have also called him late in the night when our beagle, who had pancreatitis and had begun to have night seizures, was having a spell and he offered to meet me at the clinic to see her (it was probably 2:00AM).
