Review content:
I came to ManorCare after suffering from severe septic shock. The outlook was grim prior to my admission onto ManorCare?s Medbridge unit. I had been in the hospital for almost a month, spending ten days in the ICU and 20 more days on the medical floor. I was so sick I couldn?t even tolerate sitting in a wheelchair for the 10 minute ride from the hospital and had to be transported to ManorCare in a stretcher. Being bed-bound for that length of time really took a toll on my body.\r
Looking back, I can?t believe the progress I?ve made. My therapists literally brought me back. When I arrived, I couldn?t use my hands to pick up or hold objects. Now my grip is stronger than the average person my age! \r
The nursing staff was amazing, too. They bent over backwards to make sure we were comfortable. The NACs and nurses were there when we needed them and responded quickly when we called. Not only did they address my needs but they also helped train my wife on different techniques for assisting me when I got home. They really went the extra mile to ensure my success after discharge. \r
We chose Medbridge at ManorCare because hospital staff, friends and relatives recommended the facility for short term rehabilitation services. We are so happy with our decision and now think of the staff as family. ManorCare Spokane became our home away from home and we will definitely join the chorus of those recommending it to others.
