Review content:
I brought my special needs daughter in for an eye exam and a fitting for new glasses. My daughter is in a wheelchair with cerebral palsy and a seizure disorder along with cognitive delays. As soon as the reception staff was aware that my daughter was the patient, they spoke directly to her with kindness and respect. When the nurse was finished our initial information, I asked that she leave the examination room door ajar since sudden, loud noises can bring on a seizure with my daughter. Dr. Rob Simons was great: he was patient and kind, giving my daughter plenty of time to process his requests for her cooperation during the examination. He had to leave the room for a few minutes and asked, "You want this door left open, right?" How cool was that?!
After the exam, Dr. Rob escorted us to see Jennifer Finstad so that she could complete the measurements for our fitting. Jennifer was kind and professional, engaging my daughter in conversation as she made sure that she had all of the information needed to properly fit my daughter's glasses.
The staff at Montana Eyecare treated my daughter like she was family...I can't thank them enough for a great experience!
