Review content:
I used to take my dogs to Atascazoo but after three or so visits of waiting over an hour to 1 1/2 hours to see a vet (with a confirmed appointment) and then another 30 minutes to an hour once the Vet came in to see my dogs... I decided to find a new vet.... not to mention THE EXTREMELY high prices!!!! I am glad to see others mentioning the same thing. BUT AFTER MY EXPERIENCE WITH THEM LESS THAN TWO HOURS AGO, I WILL NEVER, EVER TAKE A PET OR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!! My sister lives in Crosby and had run over her daughters' dog by accident and was looking for a place to take him (around 8:40pm in the evening). I called my vet first, which had an answering machine and then called Atascazoo... the first time they picked up the phone and hung up, I then called right back and they answered only to tell me after explaining my situation to them that they were closing in 10 minutes. I asked if they could possibly wait for my sister to get there, since she was coming from Crosby, but had already headed our way, they put me on hold and another woman answered the phone and told me we would have to go further into Humble (with a Hurricane that just came through and all the power outages, this could be up to an additional 20 minutes or so) to an Emergency Clinic that was open all night. If you are an animal lover like me, this is like a Doctor's office telling me to take my child further up the road because they were closing and had to get home!!!!! Atascazoo is a disgrace to the Animal Care business! Pros: HMMMMM Cons: Not very caring!
