I went to buy some of the thunder eggs, petrified wood, and opal. The ad said by the pound, but when I got there, the owner's daughter said the opal was by the piece. She randomly picked prices. She said we could get X amount for $25. (The person I was with had a very small budget.) She put back over half of the opal rocks and then the owners daughter said no, that's too much. You can have this X amount. She kept reducing the amount my friend could get for her money. When she finally got it down to 1 large handful and brought it up to pay, she was charged $35. The woman said she still had too many pieces. She only had one large handful. My friend had about 1/4 of the original amount the woman originally said she could get for her budget. The whole time this was going on, my friend had her card sitting on the counter in front of the woman. After all was said and done the woman said they don't take discover card. She saw the card there and could have said something sooner. I paid for my friend's pieces and we left. The woman was very rude and seemed inconvenienced that we were there. Also there wasn't really anything there that was in the pictures in the ad. Oh and the "gem Quality opals" they charge $1 a gram for, is just the little pieces that break off the bigger pieces.
