Fast service! I had a dead ice maker in the heat of summer, and Larry was able to make it out the next day. He told me what my options were and the price of each. I opted to "start over" with a new unit.
By contrast, another company didn't know if they could help me. "If you don't hear from us, we can't do it." Really?! They wouldn't call me back? What if I had an entire household in need of new appliances? Would they help me, then? I won't be calling to find out bcs I found Abel....and because Larry could probably fix everything!
While he was here, I asked him about a problem with the instant hot water spigot at my kitchen sink. I wanted to know if I had to get an electrician out here. I had water, but it wasn't hot. And the garbage disposal didn't work. I knew it was an electrical problem (possibly a bad wall socket bcs I had checked the breaker box and put a known-good appliance in the socket), and I knew the two failures were probably related bcs plugs for the instant hot and the garbage disposal went into the same socket. He was kind enough to take a look at it and tell me how it was wired incorrectly and what needed to be reversed. I happened to have a gizmo that solved the problem, so he put that in, and, within less than 5 seconds.... fiat lux! In this case, it was 'fiat aqua calida et non quisquiliarum'. (Indulge me. I'm taking license with the Latin, ok?)
Very reasonable price, too.
AND I got a thank-you note the next day! That warms the cockles of my Southern heart!
I will be calling Abel with my next dead appliance.
