I was looking to sell some of my American Gold Eagle 1 oz. gold coins. I called various shops to get price quotes, and found that Gaithersburg Coin offered me the best rate, but only by a small margin. So I drove 1 hour to the shop, and waited in line while their distracted inefficient staff took 45 minutes to serve the 2 customers in front of me. When I finally spoke to them, they quoted me a "buy price" significantly lower than that quoted on the phone, and refused to give me what they'd offered me on the phone, even though I'd just spoken with them a couple of hours before and the gold spot price had been steady that day. Rather than get ripped off, I took my business elsewhere and refused to deal with those swindlers at Gaithersburg Coin. What a waste of time and a bad experience!!!
