These people are caring, competent and efficient veterinarians and vet techs who, because of their empathy for pets and people in distress, have chosen to do a thankless job. Each of them could earn much more, enjoy bankers hours and see a lot fewer depressing cases if they chose to practice in a standard office. Some of the complaints I've read on this page are very frustrating. I do understand that $80 is a lot of money for some people, but it is on par with a standard office visit these days, and thus a tremendous bargain for after hours veterinary care. Last night they helped me say goodbye to my little dog friend of 18 years. I would have been at my wits end if not for this service, and my little friend surely would have suffered for hours in pain and misery. Thank God for these people.
