2:30AM is not the best time to form a first opinion. This writer had never been to this clinic before, was not a client, and they had never seen his pet before. She chose to answer his emergency phone call during the wee hours of the night (after working an overtime day and knowing she had to be back at work to treat her regular clients at 8AM that same morning) since his regular veterinarian apparently slept thru the whole ordeal. Shawnee Animal Clinic offers emergency service to their clients. If she did not care about the welfare of his pet, she would not have treated it at all - but she did -for shock, started I.V. fluids, x-rayed and treated it for pain - all of which kept her at the clinic until 5AM. A ray of sunshine? NO, not at 2:30AM after being asked to treat a non-client's emergency. $200.00 deposit? Yes - they require this deposit of all non-client emergencies, as they usually do the dirty, critical work stabilizing a pet and then the owner takes it to their "regular"
