Review content:
In May of 2014 I hired Elliott Architects/Castor Strategic Construction Management to build my new house. My experience with Rob Elliott was the most unprofessional and disorganized of any construction project I have been involved with. There was absolutely nothing "Strategic" about the way my project was managed; Project management equated to a series of knee-jerk reactions. The construction timeline & costs differed significantly from what was presented to me in their contract, and with little explanation as to why. When questions were posed to Rob Elliott regarding costs, causes for construction delays, or quality of workmanship, he would generally avoid calls & emails. In October 2015, Mr. Elliott refused to provide change orders detailing the significant cost overruns leaving us with no other choice but to take over management of the project and hire contractors for the remaining work to be completed. We spent the next several months working to correct design flaws and faulty workmanship that lead to water penetrating the house around doors that had not been properly flashed and through areas of the foundation that had not been sealed. I could never in good conscience recommend Elliott Architects or Castor Strategic Construction Management.
