Review content:
My girlfriend took her car here in order to have the timing belt and water pump replaced. The cost was very good, and they were helpful at the time. Shortly thereafter however, her car began to overheat repeatedly. Another visit to Expert Tire yielded the advice that we order a replacement engine fan, but the car would be driveable in the meantime. Not owning more than one car, we were left without any other options. The overheating that took place damaged the radiator ($115 replacement), transmission ($1600 replacement), thermostat (done for free by another mechanic out of sympathy) and who knows how many other problems. After badgering, Expert Tire did pay to have the car towed to another mechanic very far away, which was the right thing to do, but not before quoting us $3200 to fix the damage that they claim could not have been caused by the faulty work/advice they had offered. Several other mechanics claimed that the work Expert Tire had done could have caused the chronic overheating issue, despite Expert Tire vehemently denying that they were liable for anything. Despite all the replacements, the car continued to overheat. After taking the car back to Expert Tire, they refused to look at the water pump they had replaced (claiming that they were ""in over their heads"") and suggested I take it to a Honda dealer. They would honor their warranty by having us pay to have someone investigate what would seem to be their inept repair work. I understand that mistakes happen, but leading client's around with doublespeak and cryptic statements makes Expert tire at best incompetent or at worst, liars. Refusing to acknowledge their mistakes and our own mistake of following their advice against our better judgment has been a costly lesson to learn. The car still has issues and Expert Tire simply wants to wash their hands of their work. Frankly, considering the issues they've caused us, I can't say I blame him. Maybe you can get your tires replaced here, but I wouldn't trust them with much else. Pros: Communicative despite shortcomings Cons: Incomplete/damaging ""repair"" work done.
