Yesterday, I was scheduled at your clinic to fill out the required forms and discuss the above-noted procedure. I saw Dr. Wilson who explained what he was going to do to remove the Mucocele. I wasn’t expecting him to remove it at that time but was agreeable. After Doctor Wilson finished, he left without adequately explaining any instructions on how to care for the cauterized area nor gave me any opportunity to ask questions. He appeared rushed and impatient to get the procedure over with and left the room – as if he had something more important to do. Doctor Wilson, nor any other office personnel gave me follow-up instructions, nor the opportunity to ask additional questions about what to do for pain, swelling and how to avoid the wound becoming infected. This may be considered to be a simple procedure to you, but not knowing what to expect, I would think your clinic would be particular careful to ensure that all of your patients received professional and courteous treatment. My husband called your clinic yesterday to ask the doctor about the follow up issues mentioned above. He did not expect the doctor to call him back personally, but his message indicated only that I should take Tylenol for pain. My husband and I certainly feel I and Dr. Drew, my regularly attending physician, are entitled to an apology. Respectfully, Vicki K Davis
