I've found that you're always taking a chance with Quality Inns. They can be great or they can be barely tolerable. This one was quite fine. I'd booked for 2 nights but wouldn't have hestitated to cancel the second night if it had been a poor place. I happily stayed a second night.\r

I'm not sure when the hotel was built. It's definitely from ""an earlier era"" like the '50's or '60's. Very ""split-level"", very sprawling. I actually enjoyed the fact that it had character. I think that there are at least 4 separate bulidings each connected through long corridors. The construction is extremely solid and I never heard noise from any other occupants. My room was quite large. It had 1 sink in the bathroom and another in the main room which is convenient. The bath water was phenomenally hot. The bathroom itself looks very retro with big tile covering every surface except the ceiling and a huge bathtub. The quantity of water was phenomenal and there was a 2-level shower head.\r

Room had a big flat screen TV, lots of heavy, solid, tasteful furniture and a very functional desk. Also had a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Breakfast was somewhat bountiful but they only had 2 kinds of cereal and no yogurt. They had hot meal choices, though. I like the fact that breakfast begins at 6. Many hotels seem to be waiting until 7 to start breakfast which, to me, seems like a way to SAY that they have free breakfast but it saves them money because many people have to hit the road before they can eat.\r

Location is excellent -- adjacent to an Applebee's and about 1 minute to the interstate.\r

My only complaints were that the bed was not as soft as I would like (but I still slept well) and the heating system was very noisy (but in a ""white noise"" sort of way) which helped drown out any sounds that could have crept into the room.\r

I'd stay again.
