Heard a whirling sound from the rear wheel while driving on the expressway from Chicago; my wheel was hot and I knew there was a problem. My wife found this shop on line, and we pulled in around 1:30 on a Friday afternoon on a holiday weekend; this large shop had plenty of cars in the lot, and a number up on racks, but wasn't all that busy. They got us in right away. While I was there, two or three locals came in to discuss future jobs they were considering having done (I was glad to see that this shop seems to have do business in its community). The rear brake caliper had seized, and this shop got two guys working on the car and got us back on the road late that afternoon; as long as the tires were off, they did my front brakes, too, which I'd been dallying over. First brake job at 93,000 miles. I couldn't believe I wasn't stranded overnight: kids, hotel, hotel out of town paid for -- would have completely sucked! These guys were friendly, easy to work with, and struck me as honest, though I paid real ""walk in"" prices, i.e., no $79 brake special. Regardless, I think I saved money over what I would have paid in Chicago. (I've been ripped off and lied to plenty over the years, and these guys were straight up, though I didn't double check the hours against a shop book or anything.) Their work is covered by a nationwide warranty network, too, which is a huge bonus. I'd return without a second thought, though I hope it never comes to that!
