Talked Van Horn up to a fellow co-worker. Contacted Jim on Wednesday of last week. Returned the info on requesting the car at another car dealership-was told would hear back on Monday. Never heard back. Called this week Monday and was told I had been sent a text/voice mail? Never got either. Was told at that time that this is poor customer service and you dropped the ball. Set up the appointment after getting notification that they could get the car here by Tuesday p.m. after close-no problem. Wednesday came and my co-worker and his wife (who had a 1/2 day off) drove up to Sheboygan to close the seal. As soon as we got there we informed Jim that Ashley had to pick her son up at day care and she would have to leave at no later than 4:30 so any paperwork that needed to be signed while she was here needed to be accomplished. After long frustrating negotiations we came to the price. Was told at that time that the car title needed the lien release removed and would not be getting the vehicle on Wednesday. We all left frustrated and disappointed! My co-worked and I came back Thursday and got the car title/lien cleared and proceeded to the dealership. When we got there the Finance Manager asked where Ashley was and we told him she was here yesterday to sign any paperwork that needed to be signed on her 1/2 day off. He said he could not release the vehicle. NO COMMUNICATION between sales and the Finance Manager. Really frustrated. Being made to feel like we were getting jerked around big time. Finally came up with a solution that Jim would follow along and take the documents to Ashley's work and all would be ok. During the negotiations I asked for the Manager who I was told was on vacation and could not be reached. I spoke with Mike (manager) and he said he did have a referral program that I was interested in for bringing a new customer to Van Horn. After all the frustration the Finance Manager came up with a $25 gift card that I was told that somehow the got a hold of the manager Mike suddenly and this was my referral reward? Really guys? I don't think so. It was like give them something and get them out of here. Is this the way Van Horn treats is "valued" customers? Especially when you have a prior customer who brought you a new sale $41,445 sticker price vehicle and you throw them a $25 gift card? Really. I am totally insulted and will never bring another customer or myself back to Van Horn. Studies show that positive word of mouth can bring you 10 new customers. A bad word of mouth can sacrifice 100 new potential customers. I think I have made my point. Mike you need to call me and make this right! Thank you
