My experience was not what I would have expected. I was going in to get 8 cavities drilled & filled, AND one new crown. The appointment was scheduled from 1pm to 4pm. I was initially very nervous. The entire staff worked as a team and made me feel as though I was their only patient as they gave me undivided attention and thoroughly answered all of my questions. They were very attentive, professional, and courteous. They helped me to be as comfortable as possible and explained everything that they were doing, step by step as they performed their work. They only used the local anesthetic, benzocaine, to numb my mouth up completely and I became very relaxed and comfortable, ready for them to get the procedures started. As I was laying in that chair, all numbed up, and comfortable, they began their work. I don't know how it happened, but I had slowly dozed off into a nap as they were working on my mouth. I remember waking up (more like half asleep!) for only a few brief moments to the sensation of excess fluid being sucked out of the back of my mouth, and the dentist gently re-tilting my head back as she worked on my upper teeth, but I just kept dozing back into my little nap. So in a nutshell, I was at the dentist, getting 8 cavities filled and a new crown, and actually FELL ASLEEP. After the entire process was completed, I was officially cavity free, got new crown, had the best afternoon nap ever, and didn't feel a thing the whole time! I had never heard of anyone ever falling asleep at the dentist before, but now I can say that I have! It was a very unexpected, yet very pleasant experience indeed! This dentist and her team also went above and beyond the extra mile to help fulfill some additional personal requests of mine. My dentist and her entire team are the most professional, prompt, and courteous team of dental professionals that I have ever had the pleasure of being serviced by. I highly recommend Dr. Sayani and her team at Sienna Dental to anyone who is looking for a dentist, or switching dentists.
