We were shown apartment X during our tour of the property. It suited our tastes with Wood Floors/Stainless Appliances/Upgraded Fixtures/Etc. We signed the lease that day for apartment Z and were assured that it was the exact same for the exact same price. Figuring we had everything accomplished we transferred mail/electricity/scheduled movers/etc. THE DAY BEFORE THE MOVE I go to pick up my keys and FINALLY see the apartment (we had been denied access to the apartment several times up to this point) and I tour my new home. Needless to say I was VERY VERY VERY disappointed. Walls weren't painted properly, it was clean, it had stained up carpet (although I have to admit they did at least try to CLEAN it but it really needed replacement). Everything to this point could be fixed I'll grant you. However, it had the cheap door knobs, no ceiling fans/white trashed out appliances/no upgraded lights in the dining area or the living areas.
