The experience I had with this company was reported to the AG and the BBB. The technician came to my home on Wednesday, March 16, 2016. I have a York system and have two (2) units in my home. The C&H technician looked at the system in the garage, replaced a fuse and then informed me that my "circuit control panel" was bad and required replacement. He then went upstairs and later informed me that "circuit control panel" was bad as well. He advised me that he would need to order from a distributor in Birmingham and would call me and let me know the cost but he did estimate each could cost anywhere between $400 - $500. Since then I contacted them on 4 more occasions. He also told me that since York systems are unique that a "Universal" control panel, which would be less expensive, couldn't be used. As it turns out, I contacted a large reputable company who came to my home to inspect my system this week. He tested both control panels and stated that both "control panels"were in good working order. The upstairs system simply required a new "float switch" and the downstairs unit requires a new coil. After a thorough inspection, the technician indicated that it appeared that the C&H technician intentionally left the system in a state that it wouldn't work with number of fuses laying around and circuits turned off. The long and short of it, C&H misrepresented the system issues, he was unscrupulous and preyed on me as a woman. I would definitely recommend anyone to avoid this company!!!
