This review is written by someone who treated herself to a hotel room facing the beachfront who is on a budget. I got a fantastic rate through Orbitz. It is off season, and by searching dates, that's how I was able to afford that fantastic room. They are also pet friendly. Not all the hotels in Virginia Beach are. Best to call ahead. All hotels have a pet policy and a pet fee, the fee is set by the hotel. The manager fell in love with my little dog and even took pictures of her!! Read all Amenities carefully. Continental-meal plan, Continental means that it needs to be pre purchased. This can be confusing using a site to get your room, best to call. Other hotels where Continental breakfast is the norm, doesn't fall into this category. \r The front desk staff were very welcoming and personable. I'm disabled, had my dog, and was pulling my suitcase. She offered to take my bag to my room as I was in another building. Another building?? Out the door we went, across a small street, into another large building, past the glass fronted jacuzzi and indoor pool area (which you wouldn't know because there's no chlorine smell burning your nose and eyes!), on past the restaurant to the elevators. When we got to my room, when the door opened........I was hit immediately by the sight of the ocean crashing!!the rest of the room was very nice, but that view was breathtaking and worth every penny I scraped together for this visit. The rest of my visit was spent using my scooter, walking my dog, enjoying the quiet. \r I hope to do this again next year.
