Businiess name:  Abel Appliance Repair

Review content:
The compressor on my 5-year-old LG refrigerator originally went out in August 2015. I called an appliance repair company listed on Angie's List. Their technician installed a hard start relay which started the compressor. All was fine until Jan 2, 2016 when the compressor went out again. After calling the repair company who installed the hard start relay, I was told via phone that it wouldn't be worth repairing given the cost to replace the compressor. The cost for a new refrigerator was about $1300. I mentioned the problem to a co-worker who recommended I call Abel Appliance. Larry came out and installed a new compressor for less than the other company had quoted. However, the compressor would not turn on so he checked the relay board and found that it had burned out which was caused by the 1/2 HP hard start relay that the other company had installed. He explained and showed me that 1/2 HP was too much for a residential refrigerator. He ordered a new relay board and came back a few days later to install it. The fridge is now cooling. Larry's many years of experience and knowledge have made me a customer for life. He was professional, came back when he said he would, and his pricing was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Abel Appliance Repair to anyone.
