this is the second time renting from the fredericksburg area thrifty car rental. I have mixed reviews but they apply to both times i rented from them. the overall rating I would consider to be satisfactory to fair. customer service seemed bored, non caring about their work but accommodating.\r
cost was much better in comparison to other car rental companies,\r
cleanliness was a problem each time and I had actually left both cars cleaner when dropping them off than when i first received them.\r
the first time was so dirty, i asked for a different car.\r
the second time i rented(just yesterday), the outside was okay, but the inside still is dirty and stunk really bad. a friend that rode in it commented that it smelled like a urinal deodorizer tablet. it was very strong and we laughed because it was honestly the closest you can come to describing how it smelled. thank goodness it subsided mostly after having the windows down for the first couple days we used it.\r
