My friend had knee surgery in Dallas by an amazing surgeon (Dr. Richard Schubert) & convinced me I should do the same. Unfortunately, I could not go to Dallas and had to stay local. Dr. Dickey was not only rude, but he did not spend much time with me and did not explain much to me. I feel he treated me as though my insurance/cost of the procedure was more important than my well-being. After the surgery, he did not give me a diagnosis. I was more puzzled coming out of the surgery as I had been before the surgery. Furthermore, his staff provided a list of exercises to do on my own following the surgery. Not once did he suggest physical therapy----my friend's surgeon set him up with PT and he was up & more active than he's been in 7 years, whereas I am still in pain, lots of swelling, stiff. It is my opinion that this surgeon is definitely not in this line of work because he cares about helping people.
