I paid New Life Tax Relief $1500 in October of 2013 to help with our ever growing tax problem. They promised either an “offer to compromise” amount due and/or a penalty/interest abatement. This is stated in the paperwork.
This company messed around 15 months until March 2015 when all they did was set up an installment plan on “my behalf” which is easily done as I have done this before. Their representative told me it would take the IRS some time to settle on a compromise on my behalf.
After speaking with someone from New Life Tax Relief at the Riverside California branch, I was told my account with them was closed in March 2015 and there was nothing more they could do.
I spoke with IRS who looked through my account and did NOT find any notes on my account that New Life Tax Relief had done anything on my behalf!!
Now they won’t return my phone calls. I just want my money back. I am left with the original tax debt plus interest plus penalties.
