I was charged $52 for a A/C diagnosis that was inconclusive. They could not fix the problem themselves [of course, having failed to even identify the problem!]. I was not told that not being able to fix the problem was a possible outcome. Now, I have to take it to an Infiniti dealer and spend another $100 just to run a diagnosis all over again and identify the problem!
I was lead to believe that the diagnosis would tell me if the compressor need replacing or if the A/C fluid needs replenishing. I was informed that once they identify the problem, they would be able to fix it [and that the cost of repair would depend on the nature of the problem].
I think, having charged $52, the least they could have done was apprise me that they might fail to fix the problem. A condescending "We recommend you take the car to an Infiniti dealer" is the worse they could have done. [having been unable to identify or fix the problem, they don't have the right to use 'recommend' do they?!]
