Review content:
I should have paid attention to the Insider Pages reviews on this PEP Boys facility I read yesterday- but I thought an oil change on a weekday morning would be uncomplicated. I brought work with me - so when they estimated 1.5 hrs I was willing to wait. When the ordeal was over, 2.5 hours had gone by - and the mechanic staff had spent 20 minutes debating how to access the filter on my very common make Toyota, and a tech had spent 7 minutes banging on the bottom of my car with a wrench for no apparent reason. Management is completely disengaged - time estimates given are completely off-the-mark, and the customer service level is nonexistent (they couldn't care less). That said - PEP boys on route 46 still stocks fine auto parts in their retail section - just don't use their mechanic shop - ever - unless stress and wasted time are something you enjoy.
