Review content:
I like to patronize smaller shops, rather than the big chain stores and garages. Elite met my hopes in every way, from the friendly, polite manner at the reception desk, the cup of hot coffee in the waiting room, to the test run on the Interstate they did, with me sitting in the passenger seat, to diagnose the faint whirring I had recently started to hear. Keith, the head mechanic, knew right away that it was a bearing problem in the front end, and confirmed his diagnosis with a "stethoscope" when my car was up on the lift I was impressed with Dave the boss, who drove me home while they worked on my car, answering all my questions about the changing world of auto repairs, with the progressive computerization of vehicles, and what Elite has had to do to keep current (software, tools, etc.). Then Dave picked me up in the afternoon so's I could have my car back in time for my next day's errands. They were not defensive when I asked to see the bearing assembly they had removed, and explained just what had gone wrong with it. Good price for a complicated job, installing top quality bearings, cheaper than the dealership would charge. No more odd humming in the front end when I drive down the highway. Elite Automotive inspires trust, and does a good job.
