In December of 2002 I walked into Pets Plus on a whim. No intentions to buy--only looking. I was a college student after all, living with roomates. I immediately saw 2 7 week old golden labs in a small cage, and my jaw dropped. They were adorable. I asked one of the workers if I could see the darker colored female. They kindly brought her to me. I held her in my arms, and literally teared up as this sleepy puppy goes limp in my arms and blinks at me with her long red lashes. Without question, I go to the counter, and say "I want to take this one home". I didn't care if my roomates kicked me out-I had to have this dog. I named her Berklee...\r Now I'm living in San Francisco. Berklee has been my best friend for 6 up and down years, and has been my reason for starting my own dog walking and dog boarding business. She is brilliant, well behaved, and is really the leader of the pack. Living in SF, owning a pet store dog is looked down upon...but I don't care. I'll never forge
