Review content:
I've only gone here for prenantal care. My OB Dr. Kriel is awesome, however I cannot say the same for his staff. Most but not all of them can be very rude and nonchalant which makes patients uncomfortable and the overall office look bad. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. My very first prenatal visit was cancelled 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment time as I was already in the parking lot. The receptionist called to tell me the doctor had an emergency delivery and would have to schedule me 4 weeks out. I was 10 weeks at the time. At my next visit I was given an exam and ultrasound and told that my baby could possibly have organs outside the belly and I needed to speak with my doctor. I went and asked to speak with the doctor I was told there was nothing to worry about and he would see me at my next appointment. The next appointment was scheduled 4 weeks out. At this time I'm 18 weeks, I'd been sitting in the lobby for a half hour and received a call saying that my appointment needed to be rescheduled AGAIN. My next appointment was scheduled for the following week but only because I made a huge fuss. One week later I'm 19 weeks and scheduled for an exam/ultrasound. While in transit less than 5 miles away I receive a call telling me my ultrasound has to be rescheduled, I told the receptionist absolutely not im almost there the rescheduling here is getting riduculous i won't stand for it, with an attitude she tell me since I'm in transit she ""SQUEEZE ME IN"". I go in see the doctor first he orders bloodwork, during the ultrasound the tech gives frightening news says babies organs are still outside the stomach she's surprised I hadn't heard anything from the doctor and strongly suggests I go back up to talk to him. She also places a call to his assistant and says its imperativesl that the docror talk to her TODAY Dr. Kriel briefly explains the situation in an attempt to calm me, refers me to the high risk doctor (Dr. Moses also an excellent doctor) schedules an appointment one week out. I see Dr. Moses at 19 weeks he does another ultrasound tells me my baby may have some life threatening abnormalities which require an amniocentesis test to be sure (Needle through belly into amniotic sac) the procedure was scheduled another week out. At 20 weeks and 6 days another ultrasound was preformed along with the amniocentesis whos results take at least 11 days return. I was informed that because of multiple fetal anomalies, when the test results come back, I may want to consider terminating my pregnancy for the health and safety of my child. I was also informed that if I decide to terminate based on the test results my health insurance would not cover this procedure and I would have to pay out of pocket. The law only allows termination up to 24 weeks. At 22 weeks I have yet to receive my results, the price of a terminating a pregnancy increases by the week. I called my health insurance company just to do a follow-up and was informed that due to the circumstances if the doctor submits an emergency request with supporting documentation the procedure would be covered. I immediately call Dr. Kriel's office to inform them and they tell me he doesn't submit emergency requests. BS. You guys cancelled several of my appointments and failed to do the exam which could've been done as early as 16 weeks due to staff members improperly submitted notes someone is going to submit a request. I have an appointment tomorrow I'll keep you guys posted.
